From our perspective, there are few things more rewarding than helping a lonely dog or cat find love and happiness. At Humane Society Grand Bahama, dedicated volunteers are the backbone of our organization. We are always looking for fellow animal lovers to lend their time and their talents to improving our organization and helping more dogs in need. If you are interested in becoming a HSGB volunteer, please tell us more about yourself in the space below. Please note: In order to work hands on with the animals, you must be 18 years of age or older, however there are many other activities that are available to volunteers who are under 18 years. We encourage you to check these out and we look forward to working with you in the future.

If you are under 18 years of age, our insurance prevents you from working directly with the animals. However, we have a number of other projects that you may be able to assist with. Please tell us more about yourself and where you may be able to assist our animals below. Thank you!

HSGB appreciates your interest in becoming a volunteer for our organization. Please understand that most of the dogs and cats that come into the Humane Society come in as strays, so their complete history is not known. It is possible that the dogs or cats that we take in have been abandoned, neglected, mistreated, or even abused. We cannot guarantee the temperament of any of the dogs. Working with the rescued dogs and cats come with risks. By submitting the application above, you are acknowledging that you understand and accept these risks as stated herein.

I have accurately completed this application and all information stated is correct. I have read the above warning and understand the risks involved in working with these dogs. I understand that HSGB cannot be held responsible for the actions, behavior and/or medical condition of all of the dogs and cats in its rescue. I agree to assume the risks implicit with working with dogs and cats who may have been abandoned, beaten, or otherwise mistreated or abused or who may suffer from an illness, condition or disease.

You will be contacted within two weeks of receipt of application. Thank you for offering to donate your time and energy to help find forever homes for forgotten/unwanted/neglected dogs and cats.

On behalf of myself, heirs and next of kin, I hereby release, waive and discharge Humane Society Grand Bahama its directors, officers, agents and employees, from all liability for all property damage, injury or death, directly or indirectly arising out of or resulting from, or in any way connected with the participation in Humane Society Grand Bahama volunteer activities.
